Living God's Way.

I wanna share the way I was trying to live my life today. This is a topic our Pastor preached one sunday. Credits to him. I feel like sharing it especially to a friend who had been really close to me. We share the same faith, it's just that, since she's a working mom, she was having a hard time managing her time. I hope this one would help a bit.

Top Five Priorities.

We should know our top five priorities. Learning this will serve as your guide on how to live your life in His way,

1. God.

It'll be through...
*Prayer.

Mark 1:35

New International Version (NIV)

Jesus Prays in a Solitary Place
35 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.

It's not really necessary that you'd wake up at dawn to pray. Well, if you can it'll be better. But the point is you should always start your day with a prayer.

*Word of God

Matthew 4:4

New International Version (NIV)

4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’[a]

Before you even have your breakfast, read your bible first. It is one way of showing that you love Him more than the food at your table.

*Obedience

Luke 6:46

New International Version (NIV)

The Wise and Foolish Builders
46 “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? 47 As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like.

Matthew 7:21

New International Version (NIV)

True and False Disciples
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

By the time we accepted Jesus and acknowledge that He died on the cross for our sins, it's not just it. We have to carry our own cross and follow him. That means we have to obey him no matter whats the cause. Faith without good deed is dead.

*Fellowship

Hebrews 10:25

New International Version (NIV)

25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Of course going to church every sundays should never be forgotten.

2. Self

*Spirit

>word of god
>worship

*Soul

>Mind
>Emotion
>Will

*Body

>Diet
>Exercise

1 Timothy 4:8

New International Version (NIV)

8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

>Rest

Mark 6:31

New International Version (NIV)

31 Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.”

3. Family

*for married

Ephesians 5:22-28

New International Version (NIV)

22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26to make her holy, cleansing[a] her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.

*for children

Ephesians 6:1

New International Version (NIV)

1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.

*for singles

Ephesians 6:4

New International Version (NIV)

4 Fathers,[a] do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

4. Ministry

*Evangelism and Discipleship

Mark 16:15-16

New International Version (NIV)

15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Matthew 28:19-20

New International Version (NIV)

19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

*Spiritual Gifts

1 Corinthians 7:7

New International Version (NIV)

7 I wish that all of you were as I am. But each of you has your own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that.

5. Work, Business, Studies.

Titus 3:14

New International Version (NIV)

14 Our people must learn to devote themselves to doing what is good, in order to provide for urgent needs and not live unproductive lives.
